Sounds of the City is a community program that turns the spotlight on performing artists of music, vocal, instrumental, dance and theatrical arts. Artists seeking a professional, theatrical performance venue are invited to apply for an opportunity to perform at the Palmdale Playhouse. Artists must demonstrate an ability to generate ticket sales, interest, excitement and “fill the house” based on previous performances and their ability to draw a crowd. Sounds of the City is not intended for amateur performers.

Complete and submit the following application as indicated. Applications will be reviewed and performers will be selected by Palmdale Playhouse management. 

 

If selected, performers will enter into a contractual agreement to perform on a date determined by the Palmdale Playhouse and split ticket sale proceeds 50/50 with the Playhouse. Palmdale Playhouse staff will provide in-house technical support such as professional caliber sound and lighting, administrative support to manage ticket sales and Playhouse operations, as well as produce a marketing plan and all related marketing materials. Performers will be required to participate in the promotion of their performance for the greatest degree of success for both the Playhouse and the performer.

 

The Palmdale Playhouse is an intimate 325-seat, fully equipped theater with a wood stage, main curtain, orchestra pit, professional lighting and audio equipment, sound booth, stage crew, staffed box office, lobby and concessions snack bar.
